I salute the guy, Bill Gates or whoever coined the word Windows for Microsoft. In fact, life like the monitor before you is a perpetual game of opening and closing various windows on the screen of your life.
There may be good windows or bad ones, ie. happy events and problematic ones too. One grandchild may bring you happy tidings and be winning International prizes in music in one country, another winning international speech contests elsewhere, another winning in Golf or Tennis and so on. There may be bad windows too. A husband and wife may be hospitalised in different hospitals, and a child or grandchild in yet another hospital abroad.
In daily life, several windows open and often simultaneously too. Say you are in the kitchen, cooking something and the doorbell rings as some delivery has arrived. A child wants something urgently for school, another wants his or her dress ironed, husband wants a button-stitched-in shirt just then! You do your sequencing, remember to switch off the gas stove first, unplug the iron and so on.
So good and bad windows will always be around us. Learn to accept them. At the same time keep closing all windows after work is done. You will feel happy and relieved after work is accomplished. This way they may not haunt you forever, though etched in your memory as good and bad times. Believe me, bad windows close easily and good ones bring you a whiff of fresh air when you go down memory lane.
So constantly in your life, you are playing a game of opening and closing windows. Think about it.
