It's a sad state of affairs that an individual has to be explained the importance of water in this day and age. The residents of our sector are educated enough to fathom the duly stated crisis of water that we are in. Knowledge and education are useless if you're not careful enough about the use and misuse of water in your household.

If one steps out and walks around the sector, a common sight would be - pipes being used for cleaning cars and driveways. A staff member of the house would be standing with a pipe in hand, with water flowing in a hefty amount and a maximum of it being wasted.

You can't expect the uneducated or unaware, so to say, to show concern for such issues, however, we can strictly instruct them to be careful with the usage of water and tell them the right ways of cleaning, at least using a bucket.

We live in an era of technology being revised every other day and online shopping sites have a large number of water-efficient cleaning options, we can’t be using such antediluvian ways of cleaning.

These are highly insensitive and careless acts, which are least expected from a society like ours. A survey by the Noida Authority suggests that the groundwater level in Noida has plummeted from 40 meters in 2002 to nearly 115 meters in recent years. The report also states that in the past six to seven years, six of the wells have been lying in a nearly dry state due to sustained groundwater depletion, not only in the city but also in the Yamuna River.

I'm sure these facts are not new and unknown and have been reminded of us from time to time, yet we've been careless. We must opt for ways that require minimum usage of water and also tell our staff to be careful too.

We cannot afford to waste water!!
